The Advocacy Project (TAP)

TAP is a joint partnership between Hillel, the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies and the State Zionist Council of NSW for the purpose of developing the Jewish university student community’s skills, knowledge and ability to effectively advocate for the local Jewish community and for Israel on NSW university campuses and beyond.

TAP-University Tier Objectives

-To strengthen participants’ Jewish identity and sense of ownership of the Jewish future, with corresponding benefits for local communal continuity

-To promote Jewish civic responsibility

-To complement and build on students’ existing Jewish and Israel knowledge

-To familiarise participants with the philosophy and techniques of advocacy

-To train participants to generate a positive perception of the Jewish people and of Israel
