Cade reviews the Wentworth Meeting
To some voting is the hardest decision one could ever make, to others it’s a pointless waste of time that as South Park comments pits a massive douche vs. a turd sandwich; however I like to think of the democratic process as something vital that specifically young people need to gain a key interest in. With that said Network, AUJS, the ZFA and MASA collaboratively did a wonderful job at putting on this engaging debate between the much loved possibly closet Jew and Liberal MP for Wentworth Malcolm Turnbull, the bonafide, certified Jew, Labor candidate Steven Lewis and well the guy that was probably afraid at the amount of Jews in the room given his party’s stances on all things Jewish, Greens candidate Matthew Robertson. Bondi Icebergs was the perfect venue to host this debate given the serene view that gave the audience members a reason to love and care for the Eastern Suburbs, adding that little extra depth to the concerns of the voter and the anecdotes of the candidates. The Asian inspired entrees were delectable and free drink passes went a long way to get the audience and even Malcolm Turnbull in the mood; I must say it was great to see a politician having a beer in the middle of a debate that hilariously made me feel like I was in that Simpsons episode. In summary the event was great and if you didn’t go you deserve a kick in the bum, with a wingtip. 8/10
